That's a neat notion, but I think a lot of companies (especially larger ones) will block access to known social networking sites. Perhaps you could work to integrate twitter-like functionality into a community site that encompasses or links to the forum and other "networking" type of features that it's wished could be used. While Twitter is undoubtedly a powerful communication tool with which people can address businesses and vice versa, I don't necessarily know that the typical Axway user will get much benefit from this. I'll check it out from home and see what value could be added, but the regimine of following up with "work stuff" after a particularly long day is very difficult to stick to
I'm sure I speak for everybody when I say that we appreciate the effort to create and strengthen lines of communication between Axway and its users, and I look very forward to seeing how this shakes out. Microblogging is a very interesting concept, and a phoneomenon that I don't think people realized would actually catch on. Now that it has, finding practical business applications for this that extend beyond what we've read in the news about twitter would be exciting for everybody. Again though, the idea of using existing and popular social networking mediums for business purposes is risky, especially in an economy and with a workforce like we have today. Asking the firewall guys to hook you up with access to twitter so that you can follow a large vendor's communications might not go over very well - but we'll see, I'll go ask now! All the best, Tony -------------------- [i][size=2]--

Thanks for your feedback, Tony. It's looking like more companies are starting to connect with their customers using Twitter, such as BofA http://twitter.com/BofA_help and SAP https://twitter.com/sapnetwork. I think finding practical business applications is the key, and we'll continue to explore all opportunities to connect with Axway customers, prospects and industry pacesetters.
Regards, Marie -------------------- MARIE G HAMILTON
