Hi,
We're setting up a disaster recovery site and need to make sure that configuration is consistent between the production and DR servers. I've looked at using Oracle data guard but this will also copy across message details, I've also looked at Peer Networking but this was too expensive for our needs. Are there any other simple command line options for exporting / importing configuration? "tools/exportProfile" exports communities as a trading partner profiles rather than as a community so is of no use (other than for copying the partners) From the documentation it looks like the only way to export the community is to do it via the GUI ("Back up this community and its partners") - but I want to do this using a nightly script rather then relying on a manual process. Also it's not clear if the collaboration settings, integration delivery, integration pickup, etc. can be exported at all. Any suggestions? |

Unfortunately there is not a command line option to backup and restore the community. I agree that this would be a useful capability.
As far as what gets included in a community backup - Community - public side delivery exchanges and pickup exchanges, certificates, routing ids, etc - Integration delivery - all partners that are a part of the community - Community Collaboration Setting Overrides (Partner overrides are also included as part of the partner) What is not backed up - Integration Pickup Exchanges - Message Handler Configuration - System configuration (node definition for example) I cannot think of an automated way, using Interchange Features, to achieve your goal. You may want to pass a feature request into the Axway Support department or your account manager to add the ability to perform community backup/restore from the command line. -Ric Hi, We're setting up a disaster recovery site and need to make sure that configuration is consistent between the production and DR servers. In version 4.x, I believe, you had a command line tool that lets you do this. I guess you can get that feature if you purchase the SDK. |

Currently the only option is backing up the communities through the user interface. Regards, Ric |
