After some testing, it appears that for 'outbound' Post Processing, the post process script executes 'after' the trading engine picks up the file from integration but 'before' the file is sent to the external trading partner (in this case via AS2). (The actual 'send' of the file doesn't occur until after the post process script fully completes its execution and returns back to the calling trading partner delivery exchange). Is there any way to control when the outbound post process script executes using one of the parm files in the /conf directory or something? I would like for the post process script not to execute until 'after' the file has been successfully sent out to the external trading partner via AS2 so in my post process script I can capture the confirmed (valid MDN response) outbound AS2 file transfer and report that it has been successfully received by the external trading partner in an email notification to a distribution group. So, just wondering if there is a way to control when outbound post process scripts execute (ie. prior to outbound files being sent versus after outbound files being sent etc.).

Hi Jay,
have you looked at implementing events? You can configure GI to send out an alert or message when an event occurs in GI (e.g. a message hits the "sent" status) - to do this you need to edit the events.xml file. cheers, Olly. |
