Hello guys,
I've a project where we need to transfer files from a local gtw directory to a remote FTP site. This local directory is regularely updated with new files and some old ones are deleted. From GTW I think to create an RFD and from there create a transfer that will put those files to the remote site. My problems are the following; 1. In the transfer options I don't see how I could set the RFD as source 2. how to avoid transfering a second time the same file Your ideas are more than welcome. Regards. |

Hello,
RFD and VFD are only used for responder/receiving files and responder/sending files ( transfer put at disposal ) If you want to initiate a new transfer in initiator/sending file you will have to use file component field to indicate which file you want to send An another way to initiate a transfer using files from a folder updated would be to use Directory Scanning. raphael |

Raphael,
Thanks for your idea. Directory scanning is really good, but little detail is that it deletes the original file should be nice to have an option to avoid this. Otherwise I've done the following; 1. Mapped local folder to RFD 2. Created FTP model MULTI to connect on remote site which is himself 3. In the model used the option hash type to 1 to avoid retsf files 4. Create Decision rule to activate fw model to destination remote FTP server As long as he tsf is not purged, no problem. By the way, did anybody tried to connect gateway on a dropbox account? |
