We are currently looking at migrating from Opscheduler 2.2.1 to Automator 3.2.0.
I have successfully imported charts from 2.2.1 to 3.2.0. However I have not found any way to take the archives across as well. I can export archives created in 3.2.0 back into 3.2.0 via the GUI, but exports from 2.2.1 do not show any archives to import into 3.2.0. Just wondered if there is a solution to this or if anyone found a workaround as I would prefer not to lose the history of my charts development. |

Hello,
The export of the archives of a chart is not available in V221. When you migrate, it's not compulsory to use the export/import. You can keep the data and at start, the modling server V320 will update the database automatically. Regards Pascal -------------------- Pascal DEGERINE

I'm actually putting automator on a new machine. I want to migrate all my 2.2.1 processes off our old server and onto Automator on the new machine. The old server will then be decomissioned. If I understand correctly, to get all my charts and archives from 2.2.1 into 3.2.0, all I need to do is replace the E:\Synchrony_V4.0\Automator_V3.2.0\data folder (the 3.2.0 installation) on the new server with the E:\OpenProcess\Schedule\data folder from the 2.2.1 installation on the old server. Then restart the services for automator? Is this correct? Do I need to copy any other folders as well (e.g. lists)? |

It depending what you used in the V221. (I you keep the database of the production server or not, you must delete or keep some files in the modeling server database). Please contact the Axway support to have the complete procedure. -------------------- Pascal DEGERINE
