Hi, guys,
Is it possible to configure Gateway to accept both CGI and Web authentication at the same time (even if it is on separate HTTP/S ports)? If it is - how can this be done? I saw, that the authentication method is general for the HTTP protocol, but also there are some options in Remote site -> THTTP -> HTTP section related to it. I'm not very familiar with the logic of the Remote site objects, but can they be used to control the authentication type between different CGates? My scenario is simple. I want to test the authentication method when connecting to Gateway using a client software, which supports both CGI and Web. In order to do so I need to change the protocol settings for every test, but this will stop the work of other people using the same server. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated. |

You don't have to use Template Sites (THTTP for example) for the authentication. You can define 2 different remote Sites which should also handle the incoming connections and you define the user and the password in the remote site (User/Password to Check), when you have done this you define for each of this remote sites the authentication method. Afterwards you have to unselect the template site in your cgate group and it should work.
But be careful this changes the whole idea of connecting to GTW via HTTP so you should try this only on your test system to avoid any problems. I didn't test it by my self but I guess it should work like this. |
